What’s it like to be you?
My Story
Fifty-plus years ago, I was born into a family that believed Jesus might come before dinner. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, suddenly everything would change.
The grown-ups thought this was a good thing, but I was afraid.
This ever-lurking existential threat, combined with insatiable curiosity, created in me a driving need to understand, to make sense of it all, to make meaning.
The journey meandered back and forth between religion and psychology, searching for answers to questions about what it means to be human.
I’m a mama. I’m a minister (with these folks). I’m a counselor (with these folks).
That’s what it’s like to be me. What’s it like to be you?
In other words
Here is where I
unfurl a mind held tight,
befrond myself,
remix ancient inputs,
snap open,
release.
Again.
Again.
Again.
